Waimate Soccer Club is proud to provide opportunities for young players of all ages to learn, play, and enjoy the game of football in a supportive and community-focused environment.
We cater to a wide range of age groups:

Little Kicks (Ages 4–6) – An introduction to soccer, designed to build confidence, coordination, and a love for the game.

Junior Grade (Years 1–6) – Focused on fun, teamwork, and developing skills, with games held weekly in Timaru at Sir Basil Arthur Park.

Youth Grade (Years 7–13) – Competitive football with home and away games, including matches against clubs across South Canterbury.

Training & Games
Practices: Tuesdays or Wednesdays, 3:30–4:30pm, at Waimate Centennial School or Waimate High School fields.

Junior Games (Sir Basil Arthur Park, Timaru):
Youth Games: Alternate between home fixtures in Waimate and away games across South Canterbury

Season Information
Our season runs from March/April through to late August, following the winter sports calendar. While weather and ground closures can sometimes affect games, every effort is made to reschedule or find alternative opportunities to play.

Futsal
We are trialing a Futsal competition that’ll run for 6 weeks between October and November at the Waimate Events Centre, this will typically cater for years 3 and up, if you have a confident player who is a year 2 parent dispensation can be given, these teams are generally formed through school so please contact the school office for information, otherwise all other inquiries can be addressed via waimatefutsal@gmail.com
